OUR IMPACT

Last year alone, United Way programs impacted the lives of local individuals 63,249 times. From helping children succeed in school and supporting working families to ensuring seniors can age with dignity — United Way creates lasting change for people across Chautauqua County.

The United Way of Chautauqua County is committed to investing in programs created and administered by agencies in the community which fall into our one of our four strategic objectives of:

  • Youth Opportunity
  • Health Equity
  • Community Resiliency
  • Self Sufficiency

UWCHQ Strategic Impact Areas

United Way maintains the highest standards of professionalism, accountability and transparency in our stewardship of contributor dollars and financial management. Internal control procedures include a rigid system of checks and balances that prevents the same individuals from handling transactions in isolation and deters questionable activities.

As good stewards of your donations, it is our commitment at the United Way to require funded programs to report within an apportioned timeline to assess and evaluate current successes and challenges to meet our community's most pressing needs.
